Growing up in Missouri, racing wasn't anything new to Penney.  He ate, walked and talked racing from an early age continuing today.  His father, Jim Penney, a 2x hall of fame inductee and track champion was thrilled that his son would carry on the tradition.  Penney started racing in 2003 at the age of 16 on asphalt at I-70 Speedway.  Went to NC for college returned to Missouri in 2008 and started racing on dirt.  Has been eating the tracks up every since.  Was leading the points at Heartland Park Topeka on the road to his first championship when he was involved in a terrible crash at Heartland.  Flipping his car several times.  Even though Penney was out for  several weeks he still finished 7th in the points.  After the accident, he raced at US-36 Raceway, in Osborn, MO and won  his first feature since the accident (first time back to racing).  Showing everyone that it was business as usual.  Even though he has had a tough year in 2011 he is starting to get back on track and refocused.  You will DEFINITELY be seeing  him back in the winners circle again real soon!

2013 He decided to advance up to the ULMA Late Models.  He had several top 5's and was showing that the move to Late Models was the right move for him  Now in 2014 he has once again advance to race the IMCA Late Models.  This year has not been the best year so far.  With issues with the car this year, we are constantly working to try and get it right.  We are getting the car better but still needing to do a lot to get it where we need it to be.  Any of you that knows Bobby or Penney Racing we do not give up.  We will be back heading up the front.

Thanks to all of our sponsors this year, your support means a lot to us and allows us to continue doing what we love.
